Gemma Collins, 37, insists she’s ‘not broody’ and is putting her baby plans on hold until she’s 40 when she can be a ‘hands-on mum’

She’s made no secret of the fact that she wants to become a mother.

And despite looking into IVF on TOWIE last year, before reuniting with her boyfriend James Argent, Gemma Collins has now put her baby plans on hold for at least three more years.

The 37-year-old – who runs a business alongside her TV career on the likes of TOWIE and Dancing On Ice – has declared: ‘I’m not having a baby until I’m 40!’

According to The Mirror, she said: ‘I’m not broody. I have got so much on work-wise. And if I was to have a baby, I would want to give it 110 per cent.

‘I wouldn’t want anyone else looking after my baby, I wouldn’t leave it with anyone. My baby would come with me to work, to photo shoots, everywhere. I will be the ultimate full-on, hands-on mum.’

She typically stole the limelight on Dancing On Ice on Sunday night, leaving her co-stars furious by turning up late to rehearsals for the Week 2 routine.

In a VT ahead of the performance, the group were left questioning where the reality star, 37, was as they gathered on the rink for training.

One asked: ‘Is she sleeping?’ before Gemma made her grand entrance onto the ice.

Completely unapologetic about her late arrival, she quipped: ‘I’m the GC, remember?!’

She later told the cameras: ‘I was late but I showed up. I’m bringing out my inner diva for this number.’

Dancing to Bruno Mars’ Runaway Baby, the television personality oozed confidence as she flipped her hair back and forth before spinning around with her pro partner Matt Evers.

Viewers were quick to take to Twitter to comment on Gemma being the star of the show, despite not performing a partner routine this week.

One wrote: ‘Gemma Collins did a great job of swishing her hair around in that group routine’, while another added: ‘Gemma is the only one I watch dancing on ice for.’

Another fan typed: ‘See this is why the show NEEDS Gemma Collins. She’s the only one with an ounce of talent and can actually be a lead for the other contestants to look up to. The GC to win!’

However, others were left annoyed by her diva behaviour: ‘The most unnecessarily self centred person ever’, one viewer typed.

Another chimed: Gemma Collins #dancingonice has no respect for the other contestants, she is rude, please start behaving correctly.’

Mixed reaction: Viewers were left divided by her diva behaviour, with some saying they only watch the show because of her, while others labelled it as 'obnoxious'

Last week the Essex star wowed the judges when she performed the splits on the ice rink to Beyonce’s Crazy In Love with her pro partner Matt Evers.

But the pair have tough competition as six more celebrities took to the ice on Sunday night, with Love Island star Wes Nelson topping the leaderboard while Melody Thornton, of Pussycat Dolls fame, came second.

Meanwhile, Ryan Sidebottom  and Brandee Malto had to face the dreaded skate-off against Mark Little and skating partner Brianne Delcourt.
