Six people arrested by members of the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau during operations in west Dublin are due in court tomorrow morning.
The six were detained following three separate drugs seizures across Dublin yesterday.
The Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized 35kgs of cocaine worth €2.8m when they intercepted a handover of the drugs between two cars in a car park in Liffey Valley at around 7.10pm last night.
Three men and one woman, all aged in their 40s, were arrested at the scene.
All four have been charged in connection with the investigation and will appear in court tomorrow.
Cash totalling approximately €50,000 was also recovered in a follow up search at a residence in Co Meath.
In a second operation targeting another Meath-based drugs gang, officers from the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau seized 45kgs of cannabis herb.
The drugs, which are estimated to be worth more than €800,000, were found in a van stopped on the Naas Road at Rathcoole, Co Dublin.
One man in his 40s from Navan was arrested at the scene. He will appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow.
In a separate operation by the Finglas Drugs Unit, a man was arrested after gardaí seized around €210,000 worth of cannabis resin following a planned search in the area. He will allso appear in court tomorrow morning.
