Pedalling away the pain? Hugh Jackman rides his bike into his apartment lobby as his new film The Front Runner is snubbed by the Golden Globes

His performance in his new film The Front Runner was snubbed by the Golden Globes on Thursday. 

And on the same day the bad news hit Hugh Jackman, the usually cheery actor was seen hastily making his way into his apartment building on his bike.  

The 50-year-old returned home after a day out and about in the bustling city on two-wheels – a surefire way of beating the traffic.

He kept rugged up from the wintery chill, wearing a thick black jacket, gloves, track pants, along with trendy sunglasses and a safety helmet. 

The Wolverine star rode his bike into the lobby of the building. 

Hugh’s day out in the city comes as he was snubbed by the Golden Globes.

After a successful year off the back of The Greatest Showman and a plethora of awards and nominations, his new film biopic drama The Front Runner doesn’t appear to have made as many waves.

Based on the former American senator Gary Hart’s presidential campaign in 1988, the film did not receive any Golden Globe nominations, and was bested by films such as A Star is Born and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Hugh recently impressed crowds with his stellar performance on NBC’s Today show in New York’s Rockerfella Plaza on Tuesday.

He took to the stage with a line of backup dancers and gave an electrifying performance of songs films such as Les Miserables and The Greatest Showman.

The Logan actor had earlier revealed on the American breakfast show that would be going on a world tour called ‘The Man. The Music. The Show’.

He also described it as ‘a dream come true’ and a tick off his bucket list.

‘I’ve done it in Australia and now I’m going to go around the world. I’m going to cities all over America, we’re going to Europe, we’re going to the UK, we’re going back to Australia. I’m singing, I’m dancing, I’m telling stories,’ Hugh said.
