Leo Varadkar has revealed Kylie Minogue personally called him to apologise for cancelling her Dublin gig.
The famous singer was due to play the 3 Arena in October, and cancelled her gig just six hours before the show, leaving a lot of unhappy fans.
Speaking on the Late Late Show, Taoiseach Leo revealed he had emailed Kylie ahead of her arrival to Dublin, in the hopes of meeting her.
When the concert was postponed Leo headed to dinner with friends and suddenly saw a UK number calling his personal mobile phone.
Leo told host Ryan Tubridy that it was actually Kylie calling him, saying she wanted to “apologise” for cancelling and that she would “buy everyone a pint” on her return.
The Aussie singer returned to the Dublin stage this week, where Leo finally got to meet the star.
