England have got off to an absolute flyer in their clash with the All Blacks at Twickenham.
Owen Farrell started the game and his brilliantly executed kick off was fumbled by Brodie Retallick which gave England a scrum in New Zealand’s 22.
From the resulting scrum, there were some very strong carries from the likes of Kyle Sinckler and Dylan Hartley. After a few phases and with the All Blacks’ defence quite narrow, Ben Youngs sent a looping pass to Chris Ashton and the Sale Sharks man crashed over in the corner to mark his first international appearance in four years with a try against the world champions.
A few minutes later, Jonny May almost got England’s second but Farrell then kept the pressure on by slotting over a drop goal to give Eddie Jones’ side an 8-0 lead after 13 minutes.
