The professional dancer Oti Mabuse and her celebrity dance partner, former cricketer Graeme Swann, performed an emotional Waltz to Englebert Humperdinck’s Last Waltz on Strictly Come Dancing 2018.
However, despite the pair’s inspiring dance leaving Graeme having to fight back tears on Saturday night’s episode it appeared last week’s show also got to his dance partner Oti following the shock elimination in week seven.
Taking to Twitter, Oti told her 68,000 followers: “Sobbing my eyes out watching @JManrara and @DrRanj on It Takes Two for the last time.
“I’m going to miss you so much.”
Fans were quick to respond as one said: “Be strong…nothing is lost for long when you have LOVE.”
Another said: “Very sad, but I’m also very happy that you and @Swannyg66 are still in.”
On Sunday’s result show, Dr Ranj Singh and his dance partner Janette Manrara were eliminated from the show after they faced Charles Venn and Karen Clifton in the dance-off.
The dancing duo recently sat down with Zoe Ball on the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two following their exit.
Speaking to Zoe, Dr Ranj admitted he was “heartbroken” after being booted off the show.
He said: “I’m heartbroken, I really am. In all honesty, I wasn’t ready. I hadn’t prepared myself. I wish I had a little bit longer.”
Meanwhile, Oti and Graeme certainly impressed the judges with their performance on last week’s show as they avoided the dance-off.
Outspoken judge Craig Revel-Horwood refereed to their routine as “graceful” and “elegant”.
The judges scored their second highest score of the series as dancing duo received 29 points out of 40.
Taking to Twitter, Oti thanked their fans for voting for them as she captioned the post: “I cannot say THANK YOU enough!!!
“Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. Feeling so blessed each and everyone of your votes counts and is so appreciated.”
Fans flocked to praise the dancer as one said: “Oti you work magic. There’s something different (a good different) about you this year.
“I can’t quite put my finger on it. You are a beauty and I love your interviews and of course watching you dance.”
Another fan replied: “Totally deserved. It was stunning!”
Another third person wrote: “It was an emotional dance. Loved it! Week 8 here you come!!”
